I have a varied professional background that I draw upon in all my work. I practiced employment law litigation (defense) where I saw first-hand the importance of creating and maintaining a compliant workplace. I taught business law and employment law as a tenured professor and learned the importance of communicating complex concepts in ways that can be easily understood. In addition, I built HR departments from the ground up in small and medium-sized businesses where I strove to ensure that the culture and vision of the company was expressed in a compliant workplace that valued each individual employee. Finally, I have helped my husband run a family-owned business where we make decisions daily that impact our customers, our employees, and our bottom line.
