When physicians lead, our entire community benefits. From navigating the system of healthcare and managing practices, to leaning into advocacy and creating impact for those in need, physicians of all ages are deeply trusted and important leaders in our community.

The CMA’s Physicians Leadership Academy (PLA) helps train our community’s next leaders with curriculum focused on re-energizing physicians around their purpose with a globally recognized expert faculty and local peer physicians. The nine-month program addresses the challenges and concerns physicians face at work and in their personal lives. 

The curriculum topics include:

• Organizational Culture and System Change 
• Racism in Medicine: Experiential Learning 
• Money in Medicine: A Mindful Exploration of Finance
• Managing in Complex Environments

To help physicians to take advantage of this program and invest in themselves, the CMA Foundation has made a significant investment to reduce tuition costs. Thanks to this support, the curriculum valued at over $17,000 is available for only $5,900.

“PLA is a tangible demonstration of the Foundation’s support of Central Ohio physicians and their ability to advocate for themselves, their patients and the community,” said Paula Cosby, Director of the CMA Foundation.
